It makes an ideal base from which to take walking/ cycling/bird watching holidays or as a touring base from which to explore Northumberland. Walks start right outside the door to the nearby woods.

The cottage has recently been modernised, redecorated and furnished to a high standard, while still retaining its character. The cottage is very warm and cosy and is centrally heated throughout. It has a very comfortable sitting room, with a recently installed log effect woodburning stove, colour TV/video and Hi-Fi, and splendid views from all windows.

The kitchen has all modern conveniences, including microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, and cooker. There is also a private, sheltered garden with panoramic views of the surrounding hills.

Walking distance to pubs serving good food in Thropton (approx. 15 mins.) Close to golf course in Rothbury, and many other good courses in the area.
